The frame, covers, and platforms are steel, with durable powder-coated finishes. The brass accents are genuine brass, chosen for their beauty today and their ability to be polished and refinished decades from now. These details added considerably to the cost of each lamp, but they were worth doing right.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eI like to imagine someone’s granddaughter rediscovering this lamp fifty years from now, something worth bringing home, caring for, and enjoying all over again. To me, she feels peaceful, distinctive, and full of depth.
