The Mystic Series Model M-100 “Venus” is the first lamp in a new generation from Rain Oil Lamps LLC, a limited-edition production of only 100 pieces. Each unit is hand-assembled in Mystic, Connecticut, using upgraded components sourced internationally and finished with our signature craftsmanship.

Design & Inspiration

Drawing from the hypnotic mid-century rain lamps of Creators Inc. and Johnson Industries, the Venus stands 36 inches tall by 13 inches wide, a true jumbo-size centerpiece.
Its steel frame and rope-style gold columns support durable ABS top and bottom covers finished in warm lacquered faux wood. At its heart is The Birth of Venus by Ildebrando Bastiani, a flowing, elegant figure that captures the spirit of rain, wind, and light.

Once this run sells out, it may never be produced again. Each lamp ships from Mystic, Connecticut for a flat $5 nationwide, though the real cost to us ranges from $60 to $110 per shipment. The flat rate is our way of making these accessible to collectors and dreamers alike.

These lamps are a more direct homage to the rain lamps of the 1960s and 1970s than my earlier, more modern interpretations. With the Mystic Series, I wanted to create something that feels closer to the originals in style and substance: the same mystical aesthetic, built with quality parts, lush foliage, and a beautiful statue at its center. This series is for everyone who loves those classic lamps as much as I do.
