The Mystic Series Model M-100 “Venus” is the first lamp in a new generation from Rain Oil Lamps LLC. Limited to 100 pieces, each lamp is hand-assembled in Mystic, Connecticut using upgraded components, classic rain lamp styling, and our signature attention to detail.

Design & Inspiration

Inspired by the hypnotic rain lamps of the 1960s and 1970s, including the classic designs of Creators Inc. and Johnson Industries, the Venus is a true jumbo-size centerpiece at 36 inches tall by 13 inches wide.

Its steel frame and rope-style gold columns support durable ABS top and bottom covers finished in warm lacquered faux wood. At the center is The Birth of Venus by Ildebrando Bastiani, a flowing figure that captures the spirit of rain, wind, and light.

The Mystic Series is a more direct homage to the rain lamps of the 1960s and 1970s than my earlier, more modern interpretations. With this series, I wanted to create something closer to the originals in style and spirit: mystical, atmospheric, and built around the movement of oil, light, foliage, and sculpture.

This series is for everyone who loves classic rain lamps as much as I do.
