Replacement solid-brass drip nozzles designed for the restoration and restringing of vintage and modern rain lamps.

On rain lamps equipped with removable metal nozzles, these small components perform an essential function: they position and secure the drip line while controlling the point where oil enters the line to create the lamp’s characteristic rainfall effect.

Developed from original Johnson Industries components as well as the nozzles used in modern Rain Oil Lamps models, these replacements provide a new-production option for restoring lamps with missing, damaged, worn, or mismatched original nozzles.

These are intended as a universal replacement for rain lamps using this common two-piece metal nozzle design.

Important: Not every rain lamp uses removable nozzles. Some models, including certain Creators Inc. lamps, were manufactured with drip outlets molded directly into the plastic platform and do not use this type of component. Inspect your lamp before ordering to confirm that it uses removable two-piece nozzles.

For double-curtain or double-string rain lamps with two sets of drip lines, count the existing nozzle positions before ordering. Two packages may be required.

One package provides enough nozzles for most single-curtain rain lamps, including larger models.

How They Work

The outer drip nozzle installs into the corresponding opening in the lamp’s upper platform. During restringing, the drip line is routed through the nozzle and down through the lamp.

Once the lamp has been strung, the smaller retaining insert is installed inside the outer nozzle. The insert captures the drip line, helps lock it in position, and maintains the tension necessary for a properly strung rain lamp.

Together, the two pieces create the nozzle assembly through which oil is introduced to the drip line, allowing individual droplets to form and produce the familiar continuous rainfall effect.

Installation Notes

Installation of the retaining inserts requires firm, controlled pressure and is difficult to accomplish by hand alone. An appropriate setting tool is strongly recommended.

For best results, review the installation process before replacing or restringing an entire set.
